Ambulance Victoria review special announcement – Online survey now live

Our confidential online survey for current and former employees/first responders/volunteers is now live.

3 March 2021

I am pleased to let you know that the Commission’s online survey is live.

You should now have received an email inviting you to complete the survey. If you haven’t received an invitation or would like to register for the survey (required if you are a former employee/first responder/volunteer), please email us at AVreview@veohrc.vic.gov.au.

The survey is one of the critical pathways for participating in and shaping the review and it is important that the Commission hears from as many people as possible through the survey. Please know that you can complete the survey even if you’ve already made a written submission or taken part in an interview, or plan to in the future.

What will I be asked about?

The survey asks about your:

  • experiences of discrimination, sexual harassment, victimisation and/or bullying (whether directly or witnessing or hearing about this conduct)
  • access to flexible work arrangements
  • experiences working with a disability and access to reasonable adjustments
  • experiences of other aspects of workplace equality (e.g., returning to work after parental leave)
  • feelings of safety and respect in the workplace
  • access to training and development opportunities related to the Terms of Reference
  • experiences of reporting or making a complaint about these issues.

Will my response be kept confidential?

The survey is entirely voluntary. You can stop at any time or skip any questions that you do not want to answer.

Your survey answers will remain strictly confidential and you will not be asked to provide your name when completing the survey.

ORIMA Research is conducting the survey on behalf of the Commission. The survey provider will not use the survey data for any purpose other than to analyse and report its findings to the Commission, without providing any identifying information to the Commission, including your email address.

The Commission will use the information gathered in this survey to inform our public report and recommendations to Ambulance Victoria in November 2021. This report may include de-identified survey responses. The report will not identify anyone who participates in the survey.

I encourage you all to complete the survey and thank you in advance for your time.

Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner
