Ambulance Victoria review – Special announcement (31 March)

More than 1700 current and former Ambulance Victoria employees/first responders have taken part in our survey, as part of our independent review. To enable as many people as possible to participate, we have extended the closing date until next Monday, 5 April 2021.

31 March 2021

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to respond to the Commission’s online survey as part of our Independent review into workplace equality in Ambulance Victoria. So far, 1715 people have participated, and we truly value the time and information each of you have shared with us.

I’ve decided to extend the closing date for the survey for further five days, until midnight Monday 5 April 2021, to give you a final opportunity continue to share your insights, views and experiences.

There are no right or wrong responses and the Commission is keen to understand the perspectives and experiences of as many current and former AV employees/first responders as possible. If you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to complete this important survey and reassure you of its independence. By taking part, you’ll be making a critical contribution to shaping the Commission’s understanding and future recommendations of workplace equality at Ambulance Victoria.

I deeply appreciate the limits on people’s availability as well as the range of different working circumstances you may have. There are lots of options to complete the survey – including on your mobile phone or tablet. The survey link can be forwarded to a personal email account if you’d prefer to complete it on a home computer. You can also take breaks and complete the survey over multiple sessions.

If you need any technical assistance completing the survey, please contact ORIMA Research – the company that the Commission has engaged to administer the survey on our behalf – at surveys@orima.com or phone 1800 806 950. You can contact my team at the Commission via our dedicated telephone hotline (1300 395 726) or email address (AVreview@veohrc.vic.gov.au).

With repeated thanks and gratitude

Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner
