Our advocacy and law reform

Working with the community, legal sector, law-makers and government, we advocate for stronger legal protections for Victorians. We do this by encouraging meaningful debate, leading public discussion and participating in government inquires and law reform processes.

Our current advocacy and law reform priorities

Eliminating workplace sexual harassment

Our vision: For all workplaces to be safe and free of sexual harassment and for all employers take steps to prevent harassment occurring and respond to harassment appropriately if it does occur.

How you can help

Your stories and experience of discrimination and inequality are critical to our advocacy for reform.

You can contact us to share your de-identified story or to help inform our advocacy.

You can also make a report or complaint about discrimination, sexual harassment and vilification.

We welcome organisational stakeholders to get in touch to see how we can work together.

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission stands on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung Peoples of the Kulin Nation. We recognise their cultures, histories, diversity and deep connection to this land and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Sovereignty has never been ceded – this land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
