Older people’s rights

Our community benefits in many ways from the experience and wisdom of older Victorians. Age isn’t a use-by date, and no-one should be treated unfairly because of how old they are. There are laws in Victoria to protect older people from discrimination and to ensure that everyone can contribute meaningfully to society. There are also special protections for people in aged-care facilities.
